Illustrated book
Illustrated book featuring the work of wortundtat - now available in bookstores
We as humans understand the world with our eyes. That means that we are far more affected by pictures than by the written word. Pictures touch our feelings. When they are good they reach our heart. That is the reason why our wortundtat magazines and our website always show images, which show where the need is greatest and how one can help.
In 2008 and 2009, armed with telephoto and wide angle lens, the press photographer Rüdiger Fessel has accompanied Dr. Heinz-Horst Deichmann on his journeys to India and Tanzania and captured his impressions as an outside observer. He has now used his collected footage to create a high quality illustrated book, which shows the readers in impressive pictures what wortundtat does to help people in India, Tanzania and Moldavia. The 132-page book describes both in German and English the work of the aid organisation, which it depicts in almost 100 - sometimes double-page – spreads.
In his preface, Dr. Heinz-Horst Deichmann describes what made him found the organisation over 30 years ago. Contributions of ProChrist Manager Ulrich Parzany, radio and television journalist Andreas Malessa and by people who accompany Dr. Deichmann on his journeys to India provide an additional insight in the activities of the organisation. Pictures and texts underline how important this work is and the people react, who receive hope – in word and in deed.
