Development of water supply and schools

Water is a scarce commodity in the villages in the south of Tanzania. The women had to walk several hours to the next source of water to supply their families with water. To make life easier, KIUMA has already instated water pumps in some of the villages.

KIUMA works in close cooperation with the villages to improve the situation in the schools. KIUMA has already been able to build a new primary school in Milonde and to help some other villages to set up secondary schools: the villagers carry out the work they are able too. KIUMA only gets involved when the people can’t continue without outside help.
