A little is a lot
Lübeck pupils bake cakes for wortundtat
“The little you can do amounts to a lot...”, within the meaning of this quote by Albert Schweitzer, after whom the school was named, pupils of the classes 6a and 5a of the Albert-Schweitzer-Schule sold home baked cakes in October. The proceeds of 82 Euro were handed over to Daniel Parzany, a member of wortundtat, who explained: “82 Euro are sufficient to send a child in Africa to school for four months or to feed a family in India for almost three.” This explanation gave the pupils an even better understanding of the quote by Albert Schweitzer.
Daniel Parzany visited the Albert-Schweitzer-Schule in Lübeck already for the third time in order to report about the work of wortundtat and to show how development aid can work in today’s day and age. The website hl-live.de informs about the visit by wortundtat.
Our thanks for their exemplary engagement.
