„wortundtat“ - a non-profit and charitable organisation

Dr. Heinz-Horst Deichmann, who started this work in India over 25 years ago, is the chairman of "wortundtat". A significant part of the aid comes from donations of the Deichmann foundations. In the meantime, however, a large circle of friends has been formed in Europe, who contribute a further significant share to the finances.

In succession, "wortundtat“ has received the Seal of Approval of the German Central Institute for social Issues, DZI ("Donation TÜV"), confirming that  "wortundtat" deals with money donations in accordance with the statutes and in a responsible manner.

The review of how the funds are being used in the operational areas is carried out with due diligence by our specialists, by an independent accountancy company and by inspection. We visit all projects at least once a year.
