The extreme lack of development in the south of Tanzania affects the entire life of the people in this area: agriculture is done with the simplest of means. For most of them, it is their sole  source of income. Water is only available under great difficulties. Without exception, the roads can only be used with all-terrain vehicles, which nobody has. Hence, a large part of their lives takes place in the direct vicinity of the people's home village.
