Craft training facilities for young women and men
There are hardly any training facilities in the region outside the district capital Tunduru, although there is a huge shortage of skilled workers. The vocational school with two-year training courses for tailors, joiners, locksmiths, bricklayers and now also for car mechanics adds to the training facilities developed by wortundtat. By applying their manual skills, the graduates later have the opportunity of helping to improve the infrastructure of their home villages. But not only that: already during their training, they significantly contribute to developing the region. After a short introductory period they manufacture products during their lessons, which can actually be used e.g. at Secondary School or at Teacher Training Centre (see photos).
