National and community workers help by word and deed
2,000 national or community workers are looking after the poorest of the poor. Above all, they are visiting the villages where the neediest live in India. They have an open ear for the people and provide free medical care. The „national workers“ are Christians. They were trained at the wortundtat Bible School and prepared for their work. Apart from material support they also tell of their faith and are listened to by the people with great interest.
In the meantime, they have distributed over 100,000 copies of the New Testament, but also magazines and flyers with Christian content to the needy in rural areas. This enables people to read the Word of God themselves and to realize that they are loved by God. Apart from that they organise retreats for young people and women, where the Word of God, but also health, nutritional and educational issues take centre stage.
